About

Marginalia+Lab
Marginalia+Lab is a space for creation and research in art and technology. In a diverse program of activities, its main goal is to stimulate practices of experimentation, interchange and collaboration in this field, without restriction to particular media approaches.

Since 2010, Marginalia+Lab maintains, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, its own space for the activities. In the region of Santa Efigênia, the lab has an area of approximately 120 square meters, being able to hold many different activities, from project development to discussions and presentations.

Active since 2009, Marginalia+Lab organizes workshops, meetings, and exhibitions, having already supported the development of many art and technology project, with the organization of residencies and events. The lab is also open to external activities proposals.

Marginalia+Lab was created by the initiative of Marginalia Project, art and technology collective from Belo Horizonte, as a space for the development of research and experimentation activities of the group itself. With the will to share this space with other proposals and initiatives, the lab soon expanded to its current design, through a partnership of the group with 88 Productions, art and audiovisual production company that works together with Marginalia Project in the management of this space and its activities.

The lab is sponsored by Vivo, through the State Law for Cultural Incentive, being part of Vivo Lab cultural program.
