Through activities of collective listening in the local community, collection and handling of recordings, there will be a discussion about the use of audio and data for the creation of sound pieces, instruments in software and interactive installations. The program to be used is Pure Data. From that, there will be a investigation on how microphones can be used to the capturing of audio as well as to measure the environment (sensor), activate and deactivate elements, etc. During the workshop the experimental software Phonosíntese – developed during residency at Marginalia+Lab in 2009-, will be used, from which it will be created a collective composition or installation together with all participants.
