Workshop with vj 1mpar

The workshop approached the process of creating live audiovisual performances in its many stages, including the selection of themes, the  softwares, the synchronization between sound and image, generative programming, development of custom tools, and the final result. It will address theoretical and practical aspects in the creation of sounds and images through computers or standalone instruments and, subsequently, their live performance.

Through methods for creating algorithms that generate sound and image in sync, analysis of audiovisual elements, definition of how these interact among themselves and final assembly of the setup, the participants had an overview of the process of creating an live audiovisual work.

In the practical part, the workshop discussed ways of using modular software program (with emphasis on vvvv) and the development of simple autonomous audiovisual instruments using arduino.

The activities were free of charge and open to public participation through previous enrollment.

COORDINATOR
HENRIQUE ROSCOE (VJ 1MPAR) – local resident of Marginalia+Lab in 2011, he is a digital artist, musician and designer.
